New York Press Releases

(NewYork.CityRegions.Com, November 28, 2012 ) New York, NY -- The shipping times for orders placed online for Apple’s new iPhone 5 have dramatically reduced in the past few weeks, as the supply of brand new iPhones has been finally able to match that of demand for the smartphone. An order placed now for an iPhone 5, which is available in black or white and in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB models, will ship between one and two weeks once the order has been finalized. This is a dramatic improvement from when the phone was released on September 21, when four to five weeks for shipping were the norm. Even as recently as November 15, shipping times were still running two to three weeks before a customer would receive their new phone. Orders place the week before were running up to four weeks for delivery. Supply has been behind demand because the phone’s manufacturer, Foxconn, says that the device is difficult to mass produce due to Apple’s high standards for production. Some buyers have managed to score iPhone 5’s at retail outlets, such as at the Apple Store or from one of the service carriers, like AT&T, Sprint or Verizon Wireless. The wireless service providers sell the iPhone for between $149 and $349, depending on model. Some prepaid service outlets, such as C Spire Wireless, sell the iPhone 5 for $50 less per model than the major carriers. To date, Apple says more than 4 million iPhone 5s have been sold. Fans of Google’s Nexus 4 smartphone have not been as lucky. While the iPhone 5 can be purchased in some brick-and-mortar locations, the Nexus 4 has been scarce. The Nexus 4 made its debut at the Google Play Store on November 13 but quickly sold out in several worldwide markets, including Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Available in both an 8GB and 16GB model, both sold out so quickly that the demand crashed Google’s servers and brought down the store’s website for a time. Google thus far has released no information regarding how many Nexus 4 phones have been shipped or how long shipping times have been. Additionally, its availability is unknown as well. A check of the Google Play Store website only states to “Check back later.” About Unlock An iPhone: Unlock An iPhone (http://www.unlockaniphone.org/) offers the top-rated iPhone unlock solution, known as the Gevey ULTRA S V2 SIM card.
